The Virginia Center for Civil War Studies offers scholarship funding for History MA students at Virginia Tech. Scholarships are open to any applicant with interests in the history of the Civil War era, broadly defined.

One new scholarship of up to $5,000 will typically be awarded each year and may be renewed for a second year. Recipients are eligible to hold departmental graduate assistantships in addition to Civil War scholarships.

Simply indicate in your application for admission that you would like to be considered for a VCCWS scholarship. To apply, and for further details about the MA program, click here.
