Each year since 1978, Dr. James I. "Bud" Robertson Jr., executive director of the Virginia Center for Civil War Studies, has worked with Continuing and Professional Education at Virginia Tech to organize a week-long event -- Campaigning with Lee -- featuring lectures and bus trips to Civil War sites.

The annual Campaigning with Lee seminar, known as "Bud's Brigade," brings together Civil War enthusiasts from across the nation to learn more about the rich history of the Civil War. Day-long field trips to local historic sites are planned.

Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Maximum enrollment is 145 people.
