The Society for Women and the Civil War is hosting its Eighth Annual Conference on Women and the Civil War from Friday, July 21, through Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland.

The conference, which recognizes the efforts of women during the 1861-1865 war years, will feature a variety of workshops and presentations.
