Acclaimed actor Robert Duvall, a professed Hokie fan, met his favorite mascot during the Virginia Tech-Miami football game. Duvall, who befriended Tech's Alumni Distinguished Professor of History James I. Robertson Jr., during filming of the movie "Gods and Generals", was the guest of Robertson and Athletic Director Jim Weaver, joining the two in rooting for the Hokies in an upset victory over the No. 2 ranked Hurricanes.
